Bootleg version of this 1973 classic sole release from Far Out - precursors to the Far East Family Band. Two-side long tracks; ranks as No. 11 in Julian Copes Japrocksampler list. Cope wrote: "Arriving in a flurry of heartbeats and echo-chambers, formless monophonic Moog synthesizers and microphone feedback, Far Out’s eponymous 1973 album is an alien and exquisitely beautiful music embodying all the greatest aspects of rock’n'roll at once...."
Early (debut?) limited cd-r from this Wellington-based unit: "Deep space gloomp and wind-tortured drone-silence from the duo of Bill Wood and Jules Desmond. Huge lungs of void cut up with diamonds of percussion and lone metal tone in classic globe-gobbling style." Someone else wrote..."[a] seamless combinations of drone, samples and feedback make this a stunning and relaxing listen." Nine tracks.
Massive blast of free rock from this Dutch trio apparently joined by a mutual admiration of Coltrane, and united in producing some of the heaviest mind-melt outside of Japan - think Fushitsusha/Haino/Les Rallizes de Nudes....This was self-released by the band in 2005, edition of 100, now out of print.
Rarely-seen private release from Ikuro Takahashi, who's been all over some of the more stellar documents from the Japanese underground. Here he sets up a roomful of oscillators and slowly builds a shifting sonic field akin to metallic insect chatter...a pretty singular, fantastic piece.
