Kosugi is one of the key figures in the improvisational field in Japan via his work in Group Ongaku, Taj Mahal Travelers, etc. These solo recordings are from a little later in his career: "Takehisa Kosugi's improvisations, both with violin and miscellaneous sounding objects, have a sense of emerging from the bottom of a spiritual unconscious. From this place comes a music based more on the feeling of sounds than conscious arrangement."
1997 release from one of Matthew Bower's (Skullflower, Hototogisu) projects on the NZ label Metonymic. Another of those long out-of-print, difficult to find releases for noise fans everywhere.
Solo release from member of various Finnish units such as Avarus & Kemialliset Ystävät. Just under 20 minutes of floating, "free" folk. Rather lovely.

Two tracks from this off-shoot of Japanese psych-rock unit Overhang Party. "Magical Garden is Rinji Fukuoka (guitar, vocal, moog oscillator) and Akira Yamanouchi (guitar) of Overhang Party. This cd has 2 long tracks - the first is a heavy guitar psych improvised piece and the second is a composition with vocals written by Rinji. Recorded in October 2002."
Charlemagne Palestine solo vocal piece with tambura accompaniment, from a 1997 live performance. Really don't know much about this other than what the title has to say - a homage to Indian vocal master Pandit Pran Nath. Palestine's voice is a bit rough and raw here, but still an intriguing and obscure document.
