Kawabata rarities on ebay
« on: November 15, 2007, 12:13:29 AM »
Thought some of you might want to know about a couple auctions I'm running for some early / rare Kawabata CD-Rs.

The first one is a lot of the first AMT label CD-Rs from 1998.  Includes the original release of Father Moo, solo Kawabata on guitar and sarangi, as well as Uchu, Zoffy and Tsurabami.  Each was limited to 100, I don't think too many copies of these made it outside of Japan due to his low profile at the time.

Second is the 10x CD-R collection of late 70s / early 80s Kawabata material originally self-release on cassette.  Includes solo experimentation as well as Dark Revolutionary Collective and Baroque Bordello.  Numbered 3/100.

I also have a bunch of LPs up that may or may not be of interest, such as the debut Anaksimandros LP (pre-Avarus), John Jacob Niles and loads of free jazz / improv.

Not up on auction but up for offers is this Acid Mothers Cassette from 1997 containing their earliest recorded material - this was limited to 1/50

thanks for your attention...

I've got a few things up there at the moment, though nothing as rare as the Janitor's stuff. A Rallizes boot, the new Hisato Higuchi, the first issue of Takayanagi's "April is...", an AMT/Trad Gras Och Stenar tour only thing, and a couple of other odds and sods:

What's going on with the Les Rallizes Denudes Yodo-go a go go listing in alan's lot? That CD is still available from headheritage for £12.99 delivered and probably a good few other places too.
Maybe worth buying up a few more copies and heading to eBay with them?

That's what I was thinking - I'm pretty sure that Rallizes is still available pretty easily - I ordered my copy maybe 3-4 weeks ago...

People seem to go a little crazy at times on eBay. Though it hasn't had any action yet, here's another copy of the same Rallizes album, with a starting bid of $55 and a Buy It Now price of $69: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260184379310
