I payed a little bit extra to go with EMS shipping,  which is registered and should apparently take 4 days or so (since they were so expensive I thought it was worth it for the extra piece of mind).

I've always found post from Japan to be exceptionally quick, whether it's standard airmail or EMS. Stuff seems to arrive in a matter of days, rather than the weeks it can occasionally take from the US. I went with EMS for the security this time rather than speed, from past experience airmail is more than fast enough.

I'll keep you posted (boom boom) on when they turn up and what I think of them.

Some of these Tiquila prices are definitely a bit off...

Merzbow - Pornoise 1KG $120 ... RRR still sells it for $40 or something.   Crucial Blast and Tochnit Aleph also stock it.

OVERHANG PARTY: “Otherside Of” $65 ... you can buy this from Music Atlach a lot cheaper http://www.bajoeng.jp/  (there are some other rare Pataphysique titles as well..)

SPACE MACHINE: “Modular Series – Vol.2” $35  ...  you can still find it at some places for $10. ive seen this series at Beta Lactam and Ground Fault webshop recently

HAINO KEIJI: “The 21st Century Hard-Y-Guide-Y Man – Even Now, Still I Think” $70 .....there have been some sealed copies of this on ebay recently selling for $50 each

HAINO KEIJI: “Keeping On Breathing" $75.... again the "guide-price" for this should be about $50

some of the other prices would look a bit better if the cds were still new.  apply to the Hijokaidan set.

Vous n'oublie pas a faire du lèche-vitrine des Rallizes Dénudés?
 http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/110160112
Tout les Sixe Rivista CDs pour US$1,000 seulement !!! (an insert is slightly bent, though...)
Merci beaucoup c'est très beau à voir ! Le Français est une belle langue. ;)
It seems the artwork is very simple for this releases, so it is not that worth? I'd pay for them $1000 though. And would re-sell on eBay the day after I receive them.  ::)

You're too kind.

Has anyone ever seen the Merzbow 4CD box "Metalvelodrome"
 http://www.discogs.com/release/100640
with poster, slipcase, shrinkwrap+sticker for anything less than US$350 ?!

I was about to say of course, but then a used copy usually doesn't come in shrinkwrap + the sticker. I think this is what's called an inflated market.

it retailed for $80, was easy to find and stuck around for a while, iirc this was not the case for the hijokaiden box (or maybe i was just late to the party).

btw it looks like rainbow electronics 2 just got repressed - great news for those who were slept on the first cd issue (cough, cough)

Sorry, I forgot to get back to you BzL to let you know that, as predicted, the CDs arrived incredibly quickly from Japan. I used EMS shipping and they arrived within 2-3 days, even over a weekend. Excellent service from Tiliqua too, regardless of any wonderings about prices, and the CDs are in wonderful condition.

Thanks for the information!  :) I will keep on looking forward to see if there is any interesting update there. Perhaps someone know how often the webpage is refreshed?

From the looks of it, it's aperiodic; just whenever he has a new bunch of stuff to list. You can sign up for a mailing list by emailing him, which I guess should send an update whenever there's new goodies. Nothing new since I joined when I bought my bits.

The pace has slowed a bit recently - last year there seemed to be lists every four to six weeks. This year it's been more like every three or four months.

A very reasonable price too. I'll keep my eye for it appearing elsewhere, but am interested, if for no other reason than the legendary status of the record. I wonder if it will be the same as the previous CD reissue in terms of recording quality, or if there's been any remastering along the way.
