more reissue fever

Coupe of notable upcoming Japanese reissues:

Firstly, in late June Jinya are reissuing Masayuki Takayanagi's "April is the cruellest month", a super intense April 1975 studio set originally scheduled for release on the infamous ESP. This was previously reissued by Kojima in 1991, but has long been unavailable. The Jinya reissue sounds good - fully remastered, mini-LP sleeve that duplicates the original artwork intended for the ESP issue. Here's a link to the Jinya page for - though they don't accept overseas orders.
The record chain Disk Union in Japan are offering one of their annoying bonuses to those who purchase April with one of the other Takayanagi tiles on Jinya - an intriguing CDR entitled "META IMPROVISATION 1984 HAKODATE".

In late July, Super Fuji Disks is reissuing a couple of hard-to-get titles by Kazuki Tomokawa, "Inu: Akita konzaato raibu" (ie live in Akita, 1979) and "Ore no uchi de nari yamanai mono". Both remastered and both in mini-lp sleeves.

The same label is also doing similar editions of a bunch of other obscure folk stuff that was originally released on the Bellwood label - Masato Minami's first album, and a clutch of sides by Kyozo Nishioka, Ryo Kagawa, The Dylan, and Wataru Takada. The label has a Japanese blog here:
