About Enban, Fumihito Taguchi, the founder of this coffee shop/ Aladdin's cave,
is interviewed, here:

http://www.webdice.jp/dice/detail/854/

He discusses his Oz Disc (or, O to Z Disc) label.
Very curious in the catalogue, was the "Buy Or Die" project .

Hello

I'll be in Tokyo next week and looking to do some record shopping.  I've been there many times before and hit the major stops like Disk Union, Modern Music, etc.  But I'm curious if anyone could recommend any of the smaller, more "specialty"-type stores that sell avant-garde/experimental stuff.  For example, something along the lines of the Omega Point shop.
I'm looking both well-known psyche/noise vinyl and also recent, local stuff on tape/CDr.

And I may have my info totally mixed up, but is it Go Hirano (or some other PSF band member) that runs the Enban store? or Fillmore records?

any help is appreciated!
best,
jon

Good luck!
But, i'm grateful i don't have a Paypal a/c - i'd run riot here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ACID-MOTHERS-TEMPLE-CD-LIMITED-5-COPIES-RAREST-EVER-/290458557674?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Music_CDs&hash=item43a0addcea
Facilitating plastic discs via plastic cards would be my deathknell!

Man, i got frissons when i read:
"...great condition for a handmade piece of burnt garbage"

How could anyone not adore this  de-/re-contextualizationist  stuff - it says so much about the music consuming experience and works on so many levels!
