Can somebody explain these labels, is it all basically just mellow folk stuff? I've got a bunch of stuff by both labels, and I like it well enough, mind isn't being blown, but it's enjoyable, not timeless like Mikami or Tomokawa by a long shot. Definitely helpful to listen to while learning Japanese.
I know we already talked about ELEC, but from what I can tell the audio aesthetic is pretty similar for both labels.
So I guess I'm wondering, were these major or indie labels, and how were they received? Was this popular music, or was it off to the side...
