Cicada    a.k.a.   Hakata no Rallizes [博多のラリーズ]

Cicada, hailing from Fukuoka , and presumably, Hakata-Ku, in the ‘90’s, likened to 不失者  /  灰野敬二 、ゆらゆら帝国 (Yurayura Teikoku ) & G.I.S.M.  with some connection to ミワサチコ [Miwa Sachikawa]

『蝉』１st  release (OZD-081～084, ¥5000  (OZD-104, the 2nd )) has a first dated performance in the same month o f the last documented appearance of  裸のラリーズ  or rather 水谷孝  in  November, 1997….

Can anyone clarify  a relation to their pseudo-namesake?

The live date is just a coincidence. Semi has acquired the nickname Hakata no Rallizes due to their love for Hadaka no Rallizes and their being from Hakata.

Ta!   So, it just remains to be said if they sound(-ed?) anything like  Hadaka?  But  i expect
they're psychedelic, nonetheless.

They have the repetitive drum/bass line thing going on, much like Rallizes. I think they sound quite different, though, if only because the true sound/spirit can be achieved by one!

Another very good Rallizes "tribute" band of sorts who has been playing a lot of shows lately is Sundays & Cybele. They should be of interest for anyone into the sound!
